Engaged Telling Gesture Workshop-Eva Abram

Saturday May 1st  9 am - 12 pm   The Nordic Heritage Museum

3014 NW 67th St., Seattle, WA 98117

“I know the story, my mouth lets the words out, but the rest of me feels like a potato! What do I do with my hands!? My body!?”

Can you relate to those sentiments? If so, join Eva for the Engaged Telling Gesture Workshop. This workshop will help you overcome your physical restrictions by exploring ways to use your body to enhance your telling.
Bring a story or two to work on and dress in loose-fitting clothing.

Eva Abram is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, and a graduate of the University of Washington. "I believe the power of Storytelling is Universal," she says. "I've been pulled into this world of storytelling and acting because stories have a magical way of showing us the beauty of each other's culture and the beauty within ourselves. Through my stories I celebrate our similarities -- values, emotions, experiences. I also use stories to celebrate our differences -- stories as a bridge from culture to culture." People of all ages will enjoy Eva's engaging, entertaining multicultural folktales and historical presentations.

$25 SSG members, $35 nonmembers. Tickets available online and at the door.
